The greenest energy is red - human energy!

Hi! People Power Stations LogoMy name is Kevin Parcell. People Power Stations (PPS) is my social enterprise. It uses pedal-power to build local marketplaces founded on delivering money and essential commodities to the poor. Individuals earn community currency (CC) and/or national currency (their choice) pedaling bicycles to pump water, generate electricity, thrash maze whatever is appropriate to the particular community. And people can buy the water, electricity, bicycles, etc, for a discount at PPS with the CC. This creates a demand for the CC that permits its use microfinancing agriculture, art, and other local enterprises within a growing, self-reliant local marketplace that ends extreme poverty.

I'm in India now, working on weaving together the support from here and around the globe into a pilot project. This People Power Stations initiative is aiming at creating a super-affordable business so that anybody anywhere can own their own PPS (either as a franchise if they want to "rent to own" or simply using all of our public domain info free to tailor one to their own needs) and so help their community end extreme poverty. But pilot projects are complicated and expensive because everything in the pilot is pretty much a prototype and we have to document our work, and so your help is not only wonderful but essential to our success. We have some of the greatest people in the world helping us now and you are invited to join that number.

Please check out the link to the PPS discussion at sunmoney.org to learn more. Or email me at: peoplepower@me.com
